This Privacy Policy describes how VOH collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when someone visits or makes a purchase on www.vohopticians.com (the "Site"). It applies to all visitors, customers, and account holders on the Site, and should be read together with VOH's Order & Shipping Policy, Returns & Exchange Policy, and Terms & Conditions.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Device Information:

Collected automatically when visiting the Site — browser type, IP address, general location/time zone, pages viewed, referring site or search terms, and cookies installed on the device. Collected via cookies, log files, and web beacons/tags/pixels.

Order Information:

Collected when placing or attempting to place an order — name, billing and shipping address, payment details (processed through VOH's payment gateway; VOH does not store full card numbers), email address, and phone number. For prescription orders, this also includes the prescription details submitted.

Device Information and Order Information are together referred to in this policy as "Personal Information."

2. How We Use Personal Information

To fulfil orders: process payment, arrange shipping, generate invoices and order confirmations, verify submitted prescriptions, and send order updates.
To communicate with the customer, including responding to queries and service requests.
To screen orders for potential risk or fraud.
Where in line with the customer's preferences, to send marketing communications and show advertising about VOH's products.
To operate, maintain, and improve the Site, including generating analytics on how customers browse and interact with it.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies, log files, and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site and understand how it is used.
The Site uses Google Analytics to understand browsing behaviour and improve the Site. Customers can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
The Site uses advertising pixels, including the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, to show relevant ads and measure campaign performance. Customers can manage ad preferences at facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads.

Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or deleted through browser settings; doing so may affect how the Site functions.

4. Do Not Track

The Site does not alter its data collection practices when it detects a "Do Not Track" signal from a browser.

5. Sharing Personal Information

VOH shares Personal Information with service providers who help operate the Site and fulfil orders, including payment gateway providers, courier and logistics partners, hosting and IT service providers, and communication tools (email, SMS, WhatsApp).
VOH uses Google Analytics and Meta/advertising pixel providers as described in Section 3; these providers may receive Device Information as part of that service.
VOH may share Personal Information to comply with applicable law, respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request, or to protect VOH's rights.
VOH does not sell Personal Information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

6. Behavioural Advertising

As described above, VOH may use Personal Information to show targeted advertisements or marketing it believes may be of interest. Customers can opt out using the links in Section 3, or by adjusting preferences directly with the relevant ad platform.

7. Data Retention

Order Information is retained for as long as needed to fulfil the order, meet accounting, tax, and statutory record-keeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce VOH's agreements, and thereafter for as long as required under applicable law.
Device Information collected through analytics and advertising tools is retained according to the retention settings of those third-party tools.

8. International Transfers

Where VOH ships internationally or uses service providers located outside India, Personal Information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in other countries. VOH takes steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Data Security

VOH uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect Personal Information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and VOH cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, customers may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their Personal Information, withdraw consent for marketing communications, and raise a complaint with VOH's Grievance Officer or the relevant data protection authority.

11. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 18. VOH does not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors; orders for minors must be placed by a parent or legal guardian.

Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month of receipt.

13. Changes to This Policy

VOH may update this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
